Biography

LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Ramir S. Arcega, D.O., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Arcega has extensive hospital experience with an impressive academic and teaching background.

Dr. Arcega graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco State University in California. He then received his medical degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson. He went on to complete a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, during which he served as chief resident and Ombudsman. Here, he was also a Klaus Lewin gastrointestinal and liver pathology fellow.

During his postgraduate training, Dr. Arcega garnered considerable teaching experience. At UCLA Medical Center, where he led over a dozen interdepartmental educational activities, including weekly tumor boards and weekly and monthly conferences for medical students and fellows. At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, he served as a surgical pathology instructor and held group sign-out teaching sessions on gastrointestinal, liver, and surgical pathology cases, as well as bi-weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards. He has worked with LMC Pathology Services since 2018.

Dr. Arcega is a member of numerous medical organizations, including the College of American Pathologists and the American Osteopathic Society. He is also certified in ThinPrep and SurePath liquid based PAP tests.

Dr. Arcega has coauthored peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts, many of which have subsequently been published in medical journals. He has also given several abstract and poster presentations at medical conferences.

Dr. Arcega holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
