LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Daman K. Samrao M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Samrao has extensive hospital and teaching experience with an impressive academic background.
Dr. Samrao graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in molecular and cell biology. She received her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles.
Dr. Samrao went on to serve a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency with Los Angeles County and the University of Southern California Medical Center. She later completed a breast/GYN fellowship at the Magee-Women’s Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
During her postgraduate training, Dr. Samrao developed an array of teaching experiences. While completing her residency training, she was a pathology instructor and taught courses in glucose monitor training and OB/GYN studies. She was also a clinical instructor at the University of Pittsburgh and taught the reproductive biology course. She has worked as a staff pathologist with LMC Pathology Services since 2014.
Dr. Samrao is a member of several professional medical organizations, including the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. She has authored and co-authored eight articles that were subsequently published in peer-reviewed medical journals. She has also given many oral abstract presentations at universities and professional society meetings.
Dr. Samrao holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
