Biography
LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice is privileged to include Jill C. Ono, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Ono has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic background.
Dr. Ono graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She received her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu.
Dr. Ono went on to serve a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University in Boston, where she served as chief resident in her final year. She later completed a cytopathology fellowship at the same institution.
Since completing her postgraduate training, Dr. Ono has held key positions in hospitals around the greater Las Vegas area. She is currently the medical director of Tenaya Surgical Center and the Perfusion Laboratory at University Medical Center. She is also a member of the cancer control, performance improvement, and credentials committees. She has worked with LMC Pathology Services since 2011.
Dr. Ono is a member professional medical societies including the American Society of Cytopathology and the College of American Pathologists. She has coauthored eight articles, abstracts, case reports, and book chapters that have subsequently been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks. She has also given many lectures and presentations at universities and hospital teaching centers throughout her academic and professional career.
Dr. Ono holds full medical licensure and is board certified in cytopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology.
