Indications:

For detection of disease in skin biopsies.

Collection:

· Send biopsy in Michel’s media. Michel’s media can be requested prior to the procedure. If Michel’s media is not available at the time of biopsy, send biopsy on saline-moistened gauze, and the specimen will be transferred to Michel’s media at the time of receipt.

Note: Call courier dispatch at (702) 249-4094. LMC can deliver Michel’s media when called 24 hours prior to the biopsy.

· Label specimen container with patient name, specimen type and location.

· Submit all patient information following the procedure for “Completing a Surgical Requisition” (page 5).
