Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center has an active neurosurgery department and LMC has provided expert interpretation of brain and spinal cord tumors for many years. We have also kept up to date with the latest diagnostic techniques. When needed for accurate diagnoses and for treatment purposes, molecular and cytogenetic studies are performed in our own laboratory and when necessary at reference laboratories. For many years, Dr. Erling has run the Neuropathology tumor board at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, and is our intradepartmental consultant for difficult brain and spinal cord tumors.
